B
& B Schnauzer Puppy Guarantee
-
We give a full
one-year guarantee against life threatening genetic defects, with puppy replacement
options.
-
Your puppy
must be examined by a licensed Veterinarian no later than 4 business days from
the date of delivery.
All of our puppies have been checked by our vet. Having them checked by your
vet gives you the assurance that your vet and my vet are in agreement that you
have adopted a healthy puppy. Puppy is given a 4 day health warranty and a 1
year genetic health guarantee. Seller is under no obligation to honor the
guarantee if this puppy has not been seen by a licensed veterinarian within said
time of 4 business days from date of delivery.
Breeder
ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR ANY EXPENSE INCURRED BY BUYER, whether vet charges or
any other expenses once the puppy leaves the breeder and is in buyers’
possession.
THIS HEALTH
GUARANTEE IS NON-TRANSFERABLE!
BREEDER HAS
THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO SELL A PUPPY TO ANYONE AT ANYTIME.
OUR GOAL IS TO
PLACE OUR PUPPIES IN PERMANENT LOVING RESPONSIBLE HOMES.
-
Dew claws are
removed at 3 to 5 days of age by a licensed vet.
We remove the dew claws on our schnauzers mainly for cosmetic reasons only. A
small percentage of the pups that have their front dew claws removed, may even
grow the front dew claws back after they are removed. The reason they sometimes
grow back is because they have a bone inside of them, and because they are
removed from the puppy at the tender age of three days. If they grow back you
can cut the dew claw nails just like the rest of your dog's nails, or you can
have the dew claws surgically removed by a Vet at your own expense.
If your
puppy is found by a licensed vet to have a life threatening congenital health
defect, you must provide breeder with a written assessment from a licensed vet
stating in what respect the dog is unhealthy along with the address and phone
number of the vet’s office that provided the assessment. If any life
threatening congenital disorder has been determined, the breeder has the right
to have a veterinarian of breeder’s choice, provide a second opinion of
assessment.
-
If the puppy
has died, the breeder has the right to request an autopsy to be done at buyer’s
expense, to determine the cause of death.
-
If a
congenital health issue is determined, the dog will be replaced at the earliest
availability with a dog of equal value. Breeder does not offer refunds on
puppies under any circumstances. We breed for the love of a great pet/companion
and do not guarantee as to the disposition, confirmation, size or color of the
puppy.
-
We can not
guarantee temperament of any dog or puppy. We can only tell you how they
have acted in the eight weeks, or more of their lives with us. The new
owners will also have to be very consistent at training to make this pet there
ideal dog. At times the puppy/dogs are training you and you do not realize
that what you are doing is not necessarily good for the dog but believe it is
so.
-
This health
guarantee DOES NOT include hypoglycemia, worms (parasites of any kind), kennel
cough or coccidia. These are common occurrences found in puppies until their
immune system is mature, in which all these can be treated. Precautions are
taken to avoid these conditions. Just the same as you can take the best care of
your child possible, but you can’t guarantee your child won’t get a cold or
anything else that is contagious. Hypoglycemia is a serious matter for young
small puppies. To prevent hypoglycemia, please be sure to provide your puppy with
frequent meals and water throughout the day.
-
Make sure
he/she is consuming appropriate amounts of each, every meal. Dehydration can
also happen quickly. Please don’t over exert your new puppy. Allow them plenty
of rest.
-
Your new puppy
is eating INNOVA Dry Puppy Food and Wellness Canned Puppy Food. Please continue to feed this food to avoid
digestion issues. Should you elect to change your puppy’s food, please do so
gradually by mixing the food 50/50, gradually fazing out the INNOVA and Wellness. For strong
bones and immune system as your puppy is growing, please keep him/her on a high
quality puppy food. Your puppy is on NuVet Vitamin Supplements. It has been
proven that NuVet is essential to building a strong immune system for your new
puppy. Take a wafer, crumble it up and put it over the puppies food. We have a
link on our website for this product.
If
your puppy doesn’t eat, vomits, has diarrhea or appears to be weak, notify your
vet IMMEDIATELY. Please don’t wait. Puppies can dehydrate and become
hypoglycemic very quickly. These can cause death if not treated very quickly.
Your puppy’s life may depend on your quick response. A detailed account of your
puppy’s care has been provided. PLEASE TAKE THIS WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST VET
VISIT TO ENSURE YOUR VET DOES NOT DUPLICATE ANY VACCINES ALREADY GIVEN!!!
-
Please also
read over the additional care information provided and don't hesitate to call if
you have any questions about caring for your puppy. We are here for you for the
lifetime you own your puppy. Don't forget I am only a phone call away at all
times day or night!
-
Please be
prepared to follow your vet’s advice on schedules vaccines, wormings, heart worm
preventative and flea preventative. DO NOT vaccinate your new puppy outside of
the schedule provided by breeder. Over vaccinating can cause death! This
health guarantee is VOID if puppy is given rabies vaccine prior to 16 weeks of
age. Vaccines should be no less than 2 weeks apart and no more than 4 weeks
apart for a series of 3 booster shots as a puppy. Not completing your puppy’s
vaccines is cause for health guarantee to be NULL & VOID. Puppies should have
no less than 3 booster shots (2-4 weeks apart) as well as 1 rabies vaccine & a
kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine.
-
If
for any reason, natural disaster, divorce, death, allergies, etc. at ANY
point in time, you are no longer able to keep this puppy notify the breeder
immediately.. If we are not able to take this puppy back we are more
than happy to assist in placing him/her in a loving home. In
purchasing one of our puppies you agree not to sell, trade or transfer the dog
without written consent from the breeder. The breeder will not buy back the
puppy, but will be sure to place the puppy in a responsible happy home.
Your are also agreeing to NEVER surrender this dog to a shelter OR rescue group
and agree to give breeder first option to take ownership. Breeder will not
reimburse or buy back the puppy from the new owners, but will find a loving home
for that puppy and incur all the costs necessary in doing that.
In
addition, I further guarantee that at the time of transfer of ownership to the
New Owner, that this puppy is completely sexually intact for future breeding
purposes if puppy is bought with breeding rights.
-
Male Testicles: When the puppy leaves us and goes to
their new home their testicles may not have descended yet due to their age. When
you take your puppy to the vet for their first exam they may find that they have
not descended.. When the testicles do not descend they are called
Cryptorchidism, this does not typically affect the puppy in any major way. It is
not an uncommon issue in most breeds and can happen in Schnauzers.
-
Sometimes one or both have not descended. The procedure for the
neuter may be more invasive and could cost slightly more. Your puppy was sold as
pet quality. We do not make any guarantee about non descended testicles for pet
quality puppies. The testicles can take up to 12 months to descend. The
male pups are warranted to have both testicles drop. This part of our warranty
expires at 12 months of age. Puppies will not be replaced until 12 months of
age. Testicles can drop as late as 12 months. If a pup is replaced because a
testicle did not drop, the pup with one testicle must be returned to our kennel
at the buyer’s expense and as soon as a replacement puppy of the same sex,
size and value becomes available we will replace that puppy.
